Sharing the practice with others
Since 2009, each summer has called me back to Calabria, where I share what I’ve gathered from my time in India. It’s a quiet return home, offering private and group classes in Ashtanga Yoga Mysore style—whether on the beach of Calabria, or in distant places like the UK, USA, New Zealand, and Ibiza, Spain.
In 2016, the dream of creating **Shala Mandala** in Calabria took shape—a space for summer practice, supported by dear Authorized teachers like Susanna Finocchi, Elena De Martin, Gabriele Severini, Ken De Rolfer, and Kirsten Berg. Together, we welcomed students into a humble community, grounded in the simplicity and depth of the Ashtanga method.
In 2019, I was deeply honored to receive Level 1 Authorization from my Guru, Sri R. Sharath Jois. In 2022, I had the privilege of assisting him in Mysore, a time that deepened my understanding of both practice and humility.
My path then led me to New Zealand, where for two years I practiced and assisted alongside Peter Sanson, a Certified teacher whose wisdom I still carry with me. I had the honor of teaching in Queenstown, sharing what little I’ve learned with others.
Over the years, I’ve organized retreats and workshops, always with the intention of staying close to the heart of yoga’s essence. Whether drawing from the Ashtanga tradition, Goenka Vipassana, or the teachings of Kashmir Shaivism and Tibetan Buddhism, my journey has always been one of quiet listening—trusting that the practice itself leads the way.
The gift of this path has come through the generosity of my teachers. And so, I continue—moving with the breath, in silence, as we learn and live in silence.

Ashtanga Yoga is an energetic and dynamic form of Yoga. Movement is synchronized with rhythmic breathing as you progress through a set series of therapeutic yoga postures.
You will learn and move step by step through the postures of the Ashtanga Yoga primary series sequence, experiencing the traditional way of learning the Ashtanga Yoga method
Led class primary
These are Sanskrit and Italian/English count classes, where the Teacher will count the inhalation and exhalation during movements of the sequence in a series for a synchronised class to learn the correct breathing within the sequence, maintain a higher level of focus and posture names in practice. Led classes have one specific start time and set duration and are only for students with an existing Ashtanga Mysore style practice.
Mysore style
The Ashtanga Yoga method is a living tradition with the relationship between teacher and student at the epicenter of its transmission going back over 5,000 years. At the root, it is a spiritual practice that purifies the heart, body and mind. Named after the vibrant city Mysore in South India where it originated, the method allows practitioners to receive individual instruction and keep internal focus.
Connecting movement and breath as they flow through a sequence of postures to create a deeply meditative experience.
The class is suitable for any ages from 12 till over 70.
